“We are a fun newspaper,” said Beth Collier, general manager of The Greeneville Neighbor News. “We spotlight cool activities and events in Greeneville, the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas.”
Distributed each Wednesday, the free weekly newspaper is available in racks at area businesses. It is also home delivered to selected areas of Greeneville and Greene County to individuals who do not subscribe to The Greeneville Sun.
Greeneville Publishing Company operates The Greeneville Neighbor News, The Greeneville Sun, GreenevilleSun.com and GreenevilleMarketplace.com.
In 2001, siblings Paul Moore and Beth Collier co-founded The Greeneville Neighbor News, operating at 517 Tusculum Blvd. The arts and entertainment newspaper was published twice per month, with a circulation of 6,000.
In June 2007, Greeneville Publishing acquired the Neighbor, retaining Collier as the general manager.
By 2008, the Neighbor had begun publishing weekly, with a circulation of 11,000.
Collier said individuals are encouraged to submit photos and press releases to be considered for publication in the Neighbor to Beth.Collier@GreenevilleNeighbor.net.
Collier and Sun representatives sell advertising into the Neighbor individually and in combination with the Sun and companion websites.
“Advertising in The Greeneville Neighbor News brings results,” Collier said. “Give us a call.”
